The aristocratic origins

Villa Liverzano’s first edification dates back to the seventeenth century. It was built as a manor house for the noble family of Brisighella, "I Liverzani”, who took their name from Mount Liverzano, where the Villa is located. Owned by this family for over a thousand years, the estate has now been transformed into an elegant Country Resort. Its particular shape, which recalls that of a monastery, includes the main villa with its astonishing internal courtyard, the chapel and an Italian garden, bordered by ancient statues representing the four seasons.

From the nineteenth century to present day

The first construction of the structure dates back to the 9th century, however the present form of Villa Liverzano was completed around the 17th century.  Nestled among hectares of spontaneous vegetation with wonderful lime trees and a long, cypress-lined driveway, the property has always been quite intimate. The structure still preserves an incredible historical heritage, starting from its Italian garden, a symbol of the Renaissance Age.  Other fragments of the past are still present today in the church and in other internal areas of the Villa.  Given its ancient origins and its peculiar structure, the residence has been an important meeting place and reference point: in fact, it went from hosting events, ceremonies and gala dinners to becoming a meeting place for hunters (given its perfect  position overlooking the valley). Still today the Villa has preserved its welcoming spirit and hosts guests, making them feel at home. After six years of meticulous renovation, the Villa Liverzano Country Resort now includes the following: an elegant agriturismo with an adjoining ancient Italian garden, a panoramic outdoor swimming pool, an indoor wellness area, a welcoming restaurant and a winery.
